After your registration, you will receive an email with further information. You will receive an email with log-in codes for the online conference venue in the week before the conference. 

To familiarize yourself with IST 2021's online conference venue, you are invited to join open sessions of the platform in the week prior to the conference. 

Due to the continued uncertainties of the Covid-19 pandemic, IST 2021 will be based on an online conference venue. If the pandemic situation allows, several keynotes and panel discussions will be streamed live from the conference venue at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). 

Payment options

Payment is possible via credit card (Visa/Mastercard), Paypal, and online bank transfer. 

Please note that due to the delay in online bank transfers, this payment option is only available until 10 days prior to the conference opening. 

New this year, we will be recording all sessions - and, after IST, all sessions will be easily accessible to IST 2021 participants through the conference website. Of course, all participants will be able to access all abstracts and full papers as well, before, during, and after IST 2021. 

All online tools used for IST 2021 are GDPR compliant and ensure the security of your data as well as of the online conference venue.

To ensure an engaging and convenient conference experience, which allows for interactions online and in a hybrid manner, we have engaged a conference agency with an online conference platform. The conference fees are used for organizational and technical tasks and features, including fees for the conference agency and platform, professional full HD streaming and directed on-stage online hosting, pre-production of parts of the conference, pre-recording of individual talks and seamless integration of these into the conference sessions, training of technical support staff and provision of technical hosts for each session, production of online tutorials for participants, provision of a help desk before and during the conference, and the creation of networking and socializing opportunities throughout the conference.

Are you an early career researcher active in and savvy about scientific social media? Apply to be an IST 2021 conference ambassador!

Conference ambassadors are responsible for generating IST 2021-based content during the conference, e.g. for Twitter, and generating 2-3 short, pithy written or video blogs summarizing learnings from IST 2021 afterwards. In exchange, the cost of conference attendance is fully subsidized.
